Origami Mailing Lists
Want to hob-nob with the movers and shakers of the Origami world? Want to stay on top of the latest Origami topics, or maybe learn more about upcoming conventions? Then join an origami mailing list!
OrigamiUSA Members List
OrigamiUSA maintains its own internet mailing list on Yahoo Groups; while all origami topics are welcome and represented, this list was created to provide a forum for OrigamiUSA and its members to exchange communications pertaining specifically to matters of interest of OrigamiUSA. Here's where you'll find information on conventions, elections, as well as tips, techniques, and general Q&A about origami matters.
To join, send email to:
ousa-members-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
and include your OrigamiUSA membership ID number. Yahoo Groups will then notify the list administrator who will then approve (or disapprove) your request. If you have just joined OrigamiUSA and don't yet have an ID number, then just put the word "new" in your request.
Origami-L Mailing List
While not sponsored by OrigamiUSA, the Origami-L mailing list (commonly abbreviated as "the o-list") is the grandaddy of all origami mailing lists (and is in fact one of the oldest continously-operating mailing lists on the entire internet!). Founded by Brad Blumenthal at the University of Texas in 1990, the o-list is currently maintained and moderated by Joseph Wu and Anne LaVin and includes members from around the world. For details on joining, please visit its home page, at http://lists.digitalorigami.com/.
